Installing/Removing the IV/O2 Holder

CAUTION

The IV/O2 holder can only be installed on the left side due to the angle of the plate between the step tube and the IV/O2 holder frame. Installation of the IV/O2 holder on the right side cannot be achieved due to interference of the IV/O2 holder with the back upholstery.

NOTE: Right and left are determined by the sitting in the wheelchair.

Installing

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 11.4 and FIGURE 11.5 on page 46.

1.Remove the left anti‐tipper. Refer to Installing/Adjusting Anti‐tippers on page 37 of the owner’s manual, p/n 1163197.

2.Insert the anti‐tipper into the IV/O2 holder mounting tube until the release button is visible through the opening in the bottom of the IV/O2 holder mounting tube (FIGURE 11.4).

NOTE: When performing STEP 3, the IV/O2 holder mounting tube will slide over top of the step tube while the anti‐tipper will slide inside the step tube.

3.Slide the IV/O2 holder and anti‐tipper assembly onto the step tube and, while pressing the release button, insert the anti‐tipper into the step tube (Detail “A” and “D” in FIGURE 11.5).

4.Ensure the release button locks in the hole on the bottom of the step tube (Detail “A” and “D” in FIGURE 11.5). NOTE: Mounting bracket of IV/O2 holder should be positioned between the two axle mounting positions on vertical frame tube.

5.Secure mounting bracket and support block against vertical frame tube with mounting screw (Detail “A” and “B” in FIGURE 11.5). Tighten securely.

6.Remove the top mounting screw that secures the back upholstery to the back cane (Detail “A” in FIGURE 11.5).

7.Secure the upper mounting bracket of the IV/O2 holder and back upholstery to the back cane with the mounting screw removed in STEP 6. Tighten securely (Detail “C” in FIGURE 11.5).

Removing

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 11.5.

1.Press the release button in and remove the anti‐tipper (Detail “D”).

2.Remove the mounting screw that secures the mounting bracket and support block against vertical frame tube (Detail “A” and “B”).

3.Remove the top mounting screw that secures the IV/O2 holder and back upholstery to the back cane (Detail “C”).

4.Remove the mounting tube of the IV/O2 holder off of the step tube (Detail “A”).

5.Install the anti‐ tipper. Refer to Installing/Adjusting Anti‐tippers on page 37 of the owner’s manual, p/n 1163197.

6.Secure the back upholstery to the back cane with the mounting screw removed in STEP 2 (Detail “C”).
