Description

Port Forwarding Support

Check this option if you want to use the port-

 

forwarding method to traverse a firewall.

Public IP Addr

This is the public IP address of your broadband

 

router.

Note:

If you do not have a fixed public IP address for your broadband service,

 

you are not able to use Port Forwarding feature. Appendix D provides

 

you with an example of how to use this Port Forwarding feature.

Call Forward Mode

The V85 IP Phone supports three different kinds of call forward function: Immediate Forward, Busy Forward and No Answer Forward.

Immediate Forward

Check the Immediate box and enter the immediate

 

 

forward number in the field. For example, if user A’s

 

 

phone has Immediate checked with the number set to

 

 

555-5555, then all incoming calls for A’s phone will

 

 

be forwarded to number 555-5555 immediately.

Note:

When the “immediate forward” is enabled, the “busy forward” and “no

 

answer forward” cannot be enabled at the same time.
