In addition to the back panel connections, a three-color light- emitting diode (LED) is visible through the top of each unit and provides information about the status of the equipment.

Installation Procedure

Installing the Remote Module involves connecting the line cords, the telephone cord, the power cord, and, at your option, the RS-232 cable. The line cord and power cord are supplied with your Remote Module, and the telephone cord and any power cords required for the operation of the telephone are supplied with the display telephone.

Follow these steps to install the Remote Module:

! CAUTION:

Do not plug the A/C adapters into the electrical outlets until instructed to do so in the following procedure.

1.Ensure that the module has the proper DIP switch configuration (see Table 2-1).
