Setting the Connect Rate

Setting the Connect Rate establishes the baud rate in kilobits per second (kbps) for the communications between the Switch and Remote Modules. Follow the steps and screens below to set the Connect Rate.

1.At the “Go Online?” screen, press 3 until the following screen appears:

2.Press 2 to change the connect rate. The following screen appears:

3.Press 3 until the Connect Rate you want appears. There are six choices:

Auto—(Factory default). When the auto setting is selected, the module tries to connect at the speed that will provide the best performance with the fewest errors. The speed will vary depending on line performance. If the module is unable to connect at any of the available speeds, an error message appears.

F-- —The Remote Module will connect at 19.2 kbps only, the fastest rate.
