To switch the ‘confirmation’ tone on and off

Whenever you press a button on the phone you can hear a confirmation beep. You can turn this sound on and off. The default setting is ON.

Press the STO button.

Press 3 then 1. Display shows the current setting: 1 = ON, O = OFF.

Press 1 to switch the tone ON

or

Press 0 to switch the tone OFF.

Press the STO button to confirm the new setting.

To switch the ‘wrong button’ tone on and off

When you are following a set sequence of instructions, your Diverse handset will give a warning if you press the wrong button in the sequence. You can turn this sound on and off. The default setting is ON.

Using your Diverse 2015 telephone

To switch the ‘settings confirmation’ tone on and off

You will hear a confirmation tone each time you successfully complete a setting. You can turn this sound on and off. The default setting is ON.

To switch the battery warning tone on and off

You will hear a tone when the batteries need to be recharged. If the batteries are already fully charged, hearing the signal means they should be replaced. You can turn this sound on and off. The default setting is ON.
