All you need to do to set up the Miniprint 425 is plug it in! You must plug in the AC adapter for 24 hours to charge the batteries. The ring flasher will not work properly until the batteries are fully charged. After the batteries are charged, leave the AC adapter plugged in all the time unless you need to use the batteries during a power outage or while traveling.

The best way to use the Miniprint 425 is to plug in a telephone line. This is called direct connect. But if you cannot use direct connect, you can also make and answer calls by putting a telephone handset in the Miniprint 425 acoustic cups.
