9.5.1Adjust earpiece or speaker volume

9.5.1.1Earpiece or Speaker volume in handset

During a call, press u and d to select the volume level.

The earpiece/speaker volume will be displayed as volume bar (level 1 to 5). The selected volume is saved for the next call.

9.5.1.2Speaker volume in base During a call, press + and - to select the volume level.

• The speaker volume will be displayed as volume bar (level 1 to 5). The selected volume is saved for the next call.

9.5.2Mute/Unmute microphone When the microphone is muted, your

correspondent cannot hear you.

1 During a call, press s to turn off

the microphone.

2 Press s again to turn on the microphone.

9.5.3Activate/Deactivate handset

Handsfree activation can suddenly increase the volume in the earpiece to a very high level. Make sure the handset is not too close to your ear.

1During a call, press l on the handset to activate the loudspeaker mode.

2Press l again to return to deactivate the loudspeaker mode.

9.6Chain dialing

This feature allows you to dial an extension to a number already saved in the phonebook during a call.

1Press t or l on the handset, or press l on the base to take the

line. Then, press o Option and then o Select to enter the phonebook list.

2Scroll n to a phonebook entry.

3 Press o Select.

The first part is dialed. 4 Enter the extension.

9.7Using the Intercom

The intercom feature allows you to make free internal calls, transfer external calls from one unit to another and use the conference option.

9.7.1Intercom another unit Note

If the handset does not belong to this model’s series, this function may not be

available.

1 Press i in idle mode.

Intercom between the base and the handset is established immediately if there is only one handset registered to the base.
