Alarm

An alarm sounds at the set time for 3 minutes once or daily. Alarm can be set for each handset.

Important:

L Set the date and time beforehand (page 14).

L We recommend selecting a different ringer tone from the one used for outside calls.

Note:

L When you select Arabic or Persian as the display language, enter the desired month and date.

L To stop the alarm, press any dial key or place the handset on the base unit or charger.

LWhen the handset is in use, the alarm will not sound until the handset is in standby mode.

Changing the handset name

Each handset can be given a customised name (“Bob”, “Kitchen”, etc.). This is useful when you make intercom calls between handsets. You can also select whether or not the handset name is displayed in standby mode. The default setting is Off. If you select Onwithout entering any handset name, Handset 1to Handset 6is displayed.

Storing an area code to be deleted automatically

In some situations, phone numbers stored automatically in the caller list (page 29) will include area codes. If you do not want to dial the area code when making calls from the caller list, you can store the area code which you want the unit to delete automatically.

Example: You have stored the area code “123”. If you make a call from the caller list to the phone number “123-456- 7890”, the unit dials “456-7890”.
