How to Use the Pause Feature

(For Analog PBX Line/Long Distance Service Users)

We recommend you press if a pause is required for dialling with a PBX or to access a long distance service.

Ex. Line access number 9 (PBX)

9 ➡ ➡ Phone number

•Pressing creates a pause.

This prevents misdialling when you redial or dial a stored number.

•Pressing more than once increases the length of the pause between numbers.

Setting the pause timing

You can set the pause timing to 3 seconds or 5 seconds, depending on your PBX requirements. The factory preset is 3 seconds.

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 13) and the unit is in the standby mode.

Chapter 2 Basic

1Press .

2Press or until the arrow points

to “Setting Base”, then press .

•“Input Command” is displayed.

3Press 3 .

4Enter the 4-digit base unit PIN (p. 55).

•The factory preset is 0000.

5Press 3 .

•The current timing is displayed.

1: 3 seconds 2: 5 seconds

Ex. 3 second is selected.

6To select 5 seconds, press 2 .

OR

To select 3 seconds, press 1 .

7Press .

•A beep sounds.

•To return to the standby mode, press

.

•If 5 beeps sound in step 4, the entered PIN is incorrect. Enter the correct PIN.
