For call waiting service users

To use call waiting, you must first subscribe to the call waiting service of your service provider/telephone company. This feature allows you to receive calls while you are already talking on the phone. If you receive a call while on the phone, you will hear a call waiting tone.

1Press MFLASHN to answer the 2nd call.

2To switch between calls, press

MFLASHN.

Temporary tone dialing (for rotary/pulse service users)

You can temporarily switch the dialing mode to tone when you need to access touch-tone services (for example, answering services, telephone banking services, etc.). Press MGN (TONE) before entering access numbers which require tone dialing.

Dial lock

This feature prohibits making outside calls. The default setting is OFF.

Important:

R When dial lock or call restriction (page 15) is turned on, only phone number stored in the memory of the MEMERGENCYN can be dialed (only 1 one-touch dial).

R When dial lock is turned on, you can still adjust the handset volume and answer the second call by pressing

MFLASHN.

R When dial lock is turned on, you cannot store or erase the emergency numbers in the MEMERGENCYN.

To turn the dial lock on/off

1Lift the handset.

2MDIAL LOCK/EXITN

R Status indicator light will start double flashing at an interval.

3Enter the unit password (default: 1111) MDIAL LOCK/EXITN R A long beep sounds.

R Status indicator light will turn OFF.
