Connections
Connect the handset cord (A) to the handset and the unit. Connect the telephone line cord until it clicks into the unit and telephone line jack (B). After line connection, lift the handset to check for a dial tone.

DSL/ADSL filter*
R Use only a Panasonic handset for
R Use only the supplied telephone line cord. Using another telephone line cord may not allow the unit to work properly.
*DSL/ADSL filter (not supplied) is required if you have DSL/ADSL service.
Initial setting
Dialing mode
If you cannot make calls, change this setting according to your telephone line service.
The default setting is TONE. TONE: For tone dial service. PULSE: For rotary/pulse dial service.
1Lift the handset.
2MPROGRAMN
R Status indicator light will start double flashing at an interval.
3MHOLD/MODEN → M3N
4To select TONE, press M1N. or
To select PULSE, press M2N.
5MPROGRAMN
R A long beep sounds.
R Status indicator light will turn OFF.
6When finished, hang up.
