MONITORING A CHANNEL

When no signals are present, the squelch on the transceiver automatically mutes the speaker so you will not hear background noise. To manually deactivate the squelch, press and hold the MON key.

When deactivated, the monitor icon appears on the display and the LED lights green.

To return to normal operation, simply release the MON key.
