1.Remove the battery compartment cover on the Handset by sliding it down.

2.Connect the Nickel-Cadmium Battery Pack by plugging it into the socket at the top of the battery compartment. Note: The connector fits only one way and requires only a minimal amount of pressure to insert.

Always install the Battery Cable with the BLACK wire to the left.

3.Place the Battery Pack inside the compartment and slide the battery cover back on. Make sure not to get the wires from the Battery Pack caught in the cover.

charged for approximately 12-16 hours before

 

using the phone for the first time. Place the

 

Handset on the Base Unit and make sure the CHARGELED lights. If the CHARGELED does not light, check to see that the AC adapter is plugged in.

Cleaning the Battery Contacts

To maintain a good charge, it is important to clean all 4 charge contacts on the Handset and Base Unit about once a month. Use a pencil eraser or other contact cleaner. Do not use any liquids or solvents.
