C: Satellite set top box setting

Set your recorder to control channels of a connected satellite set top box. (DSS set top box control function)

This setting is only for users who do not or can not control channels of a connected cable box by means of TV Guide On Screen® system.

If you selected “Yes” at step 5 on page 34, you do not need to do this setting. Skip to “D: Output sound setting” ( page 44).

STEP 2: Configuring for Cable

You have indicated that you have cable service. Now the TV Guide On Screen system needs some additional information.

Important

•Be sure to connect your satellite set top box to the INPUT3 jacks of the recorder.

•Make the G-LINK®cable connection ( page 25) between your satellite set top box and the recorder.

1 Press SETUP to display the setup menu.

When it is already displayed, press button.
