Change the angle of the camera (Angle)

Some DVDs/VCDs/S-VCDs contain scenes which can be recorded at the same time from different camera angles. You can look at such scenes with the angle function from different perspectives.

To do this, press the ANGLE button during playback.

Each time you press the ANGLE button, it switches over to one of the available camera angles.

Showing/hiding subtitles

If subtitles are available on the inserted DVD/VCD/S-VCD:

1Press the SUBTITLE button once, to show the subtitles in the first language available. Press the SUBTITLE button several times to show the subtitles in other languages.

2The selected subtitle language and its number is shown on the television screen (e. g. 01/10: ENGLISH for the first of ten available subtitle languages).

3To switch off the display of subtitles: Press the SUBTI- TLE button again, when the last of the available subti- tle languages has been shown (e. g. 10/10 for the tenth of ten available subtitle languages).

Changing playback language

On many DVDs/VCDs/S-VCDs you can select another play- back language during playback. To do this press the AU- DIO button.

When you press the AUDIO once, the first available play- back language is switched on. Every time you press the AUDIO button again, other available playback languages will be switched on one after the other.

Showing disc information

You can show all information about a DVD/VCD/S-VCD on the television screen during the playback. To do this:

1Press the DISPLAY button on the remote control. The following is shown on the television screen:

the number of the title and chapter currently being played back

the amount of time already played back of the entire DVD/VCD/S-VCD content in hours, minutes and seconds

2If you press the DISPLAY button a second time:

the time until the end of the title currently being played back, in hours, seconds and minutes

3If you press the DISPLAY button a third time:

the amount of time already played back of the chap- ter currently being played back in hours, seconds and minutes

4If you press the DISPLAY button a fourth time:

the time until the end of the chapter currently being played back in hours, seconds and minutes

5To hide the disc information, press the DISPLAY button once more.

Selecting chapters

You can select chapters on an inserted DVD/VCD/S-VCD in the following ways:

Skip to the beginning of the chapter (Skip)

With the SKIP forwards and SKIP backwards buttons you can skip throughout the contents of the DVD/VCD/S-VCD

forwards to the beginning of the next chapter or

backwards to the beginning of the chapter currently being played back

The selected chapter is played back immediately without you having to press the PLAY button. The number of the chapter appears in the display of the combination unit on the left of the playback time.

Selecting chapters with chapter numbers

To select a chapter by entering its chapter number:

1Press the GOTO button on the remote control during playback. The GOTO menu is shown on the television screen:

2Enter the required chapter number with the number buttons 0 to 9 in the marked input field.

Example: If you would like to select chapter number 3, then press the number button 3.

Enter two-digit chapter numbers with the 10+ button and the number buttons 0 to 9.

Example: If you would like to select chapter number 21, press the 10+ button twice. Then press the number button 1.
