Switching on FM radio
1Press ON•OFF to power on the set.
➜The LCD lights up.
2Press DAB•FM to select FM mode if "FM" is not displayed.
➜Waveband and radio frequency are dis- played (see 5).
Tuning to radio stations
1In FM mode, press SCAN until frequency number starts running.
➜The radio will auto tune to a station of strong signal strength, and search will stop.
2To tune to a weak station, press 1 / 2 until an optimum reception is found.
3Repeat the steps above until you find the desired station.
Helpful hints:
–Befor pressing SCAN, you may first press 2 to select a scan up, or press 1 to select a scan down.
Storing FM presets
You can store up to 10 FM stations on the 10 preset buttons each for easy access.
1In FM mode, tune to your desired radio sta- tion (Refer to "Tuning to radio stations").
2Press and hold one of the preset buttons
➜"Station Saved" is displayed briefly on the second line of the display, and the stored preset number is displayed
(see 6).
•To save on presets
Helpful hints:
–If you have already saved a FM station in that preset location, it will be overwritten by a new station.
–When you store FM stations, these do not overwrite your FM presets.

1In FM mode, press a preset button on the top of the set to select presets

The DAB radio has a

1Switch on DAB or FM radio.
2Press and hold SELECT for 2 seconds to enter the timer setting mode (See 8).
3Press 1 / 2 repeatedly to select your desired timer option.
➜The selections are toggled as follows (5 minutes as a step):
90=85=70=65=60...=10=5=
SLEEP OFF
4Press SELECT to confirm the selection.
5The set will be switched off at the selected time.
To deactivate the sleep function
1In the timer setting mode, press 1 / 2 repeat- edly until "Sleep Off" is displayed.
2Press SELECT to confirm the selection.
Safety & maintenance informa- tion
•Place the set on a flat, hard and stable surface so that the system does not tilt.
•Do not expose the set, batteries, CDs to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight.
•The apparatus shall not be exposed to drip- ping or splashing.
•Adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 15cm (6 inches) between the ventilation holes and surrounding surfaces is necessary to prevent heat
•Do not cover the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers,
•No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
•No naked flame sources, such as lighted can- dles, should be placed on the apparatus.
•The mechanical parts of the set contain self- lubricating bearings and must not be oiled or lubricated.
•To clean the set, use a dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammo- nia, benzene or abrasives as these may harm the housing.
