pThis cannot be set while “Surround Music” or “Surround Enhancer” (page 35) is set to “ON” (“ERROR” is displayed in the display window). Please set this once “Surround Music” or “Surround Enhancer” is set to “OFF”.

When “D.MIX” flashes on the display [DVD-A]

The DVD-Audio contains multiple-channel signals that cannot be down-mixed.

Muting the sound

Press [MUTING].

“MUTING” flashes on the unit's display.

To cancel

pPress [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum “VOL 0”, then raise it to the required level.

pMuting is cancelled when you switch the unit to standby.

Adjusting the subwoofer level

Press [SW.LEVEL].

Each time you press the button:

pThe setting you make is retained.

pThis cannot be set when headphones are connected.

Speaker level adjustments

Adjust the level of the speakers so they are the same apparent level as the front speakers where you would normally be sitting and listening.

Preparation

pPress [DRIVE SELECT] to select the DVD drive. pTurn off the other sound effects.

pThis cannot be set while “Surround Music” (page 35) is set to “ON” (“ERROR” is displayed in the display window). Please set this once Surround Music is set to “OFF”.

When stopped or playing discs with 2 channel or monaural audio

You can adjust the balance of the front speakers.

pYou can also adjust the L/R Surround speakers while “Sound Field Control (SFC)” or “Surround Enhancer” is set to on. Please perform the following “When playing Multi-channel discs” operations.
