6.Keep the workpiece against the face of the miter gauge and flat against the table. Then slowly push the workpiece through the blade.
7.Do not try to pull the workpiece back with the blade turning. Turn the switch OFF, and carefully slide the workpiece out when the blade is completely stopped.
!WARNING
Always position the larger surface of the workpiece on the table when crosscutting and/or bevel crosscutting to avoid instability.

3.Adjust the blade height so it is 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) higher than the top of the workpiece (2).
4.Hold the workpiece firmly against the miter gauge with the blade path in line with the desired cut location. Move the workpiece to 1in. (25.4 mm) distance from the blade (3).
5.Start the saw and wait for the blade to come up to full speed. Never stand directly inline of the saw blade path, always stand to the side of the blade that you are cutting on.
