CUTTING THE TAILS

Cut the ends of the tail board at the desired angle. Note that when the angle is approaching 15° that the tails weaken (Fig. 59A).
Mount the board so that the outside surface faces the base of the jig and the edge is against the template (Fig. 59B).
Cut the tails in the same manner as you would the standard dovetails.
