DC-1 Digital Controller

Although the DC-1 memory is cleared before it leaves the factory, it is good practice to reset the unit before programming it. The following procedure resets the unit to factory condition:

Turn the DC-1 OFF with either the front panel switch or the remote. Turn the unit back ON and immediately press and hold the BYPASS button on the remote. (Make sure you do not block the infrared receiver on the DC-1 front panel.) The display will read:

RESTORE DEFAULTS

System Configuration

Use MENUorto highlight RESTORE DEFAULTS, then press SELECT. This will clear and reload all preset effects and all factory settings of Volume, Balance, Contrast, Configuration, etc. When the message FAC- TORY DEFAULTS RESTORED is displayed, press DONE to return to normal operation.

Depending on the location of the DC-1 in your room, you may need to adjust Display Adjustment the front panel display for optimum viewing. To adjust this display, press

the MENU , or SELECT buttons on the Remote to enter the Main Menu. Press MENU twice to select DISPLAY ADJUST.

Press SELECT to highlight the Display Adjust Menu. Press MENU to select FRONT PANEL DISPLAY.

To adjust contrast, use SELECT to highlight CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT, and MENU or to set the contrast of the display to its maximum as seen from your listening position. Press DONE twice to return to the main menu.

If you want to turn the front panel display off, use SELECT to highlight STATUS, then use MENU orto select OFF. Press DONE twice to return to the main menu.
