Configuring The Primary Server
Before you begin configuring, ensure that your primary and secondary servers are installed. The following section describes the initial configuration tasks you need to perform to get your Primary and Secondary Security Servers up and running.
The Primary Security Server requires four basic configuration tasks, namely:
•Create the Principal database
•Add an administrative principal
•Create a host/<fqdn> principal and extract its service key
•Start the Kerberos daemons
•Define network locations of all the secondary servers
These configuration tasks have been discussed in the subsequent sections of this chapter.
