Setting

Description

Frequency plan

Changes the frequency of the display.

 

 

Auto search

Scans all channels on the input device for valid channels.

 

 

Edit channels

Adds or removes channels from the listing.

 

 

Edit favorites

Adds or removes favorite channels.

 

 

Dual Picture

Turns on and configures the dual picture mode to display more than one picture on

 

the television.

Dual mode

Turn the dual picture mode on or off and specifies the display.

 

 

Secondary

Specifies the input source for the second picture.

Size

Specifies the size for the second picture.

 

 

Layout

Specifies the position of the second picture.

 

 

Cable card

Initializes and configures the CableCARD in the television.

Description

OSD Language

Selects the language used by the on-screen menu.

 

 

Time

Sets up the clock.

 

 

Time Zone

Sets the time zone.

 

 

Daylight Savings

Sets how daylight savings is configured.

 

 

Sleep Timer

Sets or shows how long the television will stay on before automatically turning off.

 

When activated, this function operates only one time.

 

 

Closed Caption mode

Sets whether closed captions are shown. On mute displays captions only while sound

 

is muted.

Closed Caption

Configures television closed captions for the antenna and cable inputs.

 

 

Standard CC

Selects a caption option for standard channels.

 

 

DTV CC

Selects the closed caption option for DTV (Digital Television) channels.

 

 

Customize

Adjusts the configuration for captions on DTV (Digital Television). If you change any

DTV CC

settings, DTV CC mode automatically changes to Custom.

 

 

Lock

Configures the television to place a password to prohibit viewing of channels.

 

 

Password

Places a password on channels based on their content.

 

 

Movie blocking

Allows or blocks movies with specific movie ratings.

 

 

TV blocking

Allows or blocks programs with specific television ratings.

 

 

Menu timeout

Sets how many seconds the on-screen menu waits for input before it closes.

 

 

Factory reset

Restores all menu settings to factory default settings.
