Link Troubleshooting
If the HP Jetdirect 640n Print Server does not successfully connect to the network:
●All LEDs (Link, Activity, and link speeds 10, 100 and 1000) will be off.
●LAN ERROR - LOSS OF CARRIER will be indicated on the HP Jetdirect Configuration Page. If a link failure is indicated, try the following:
●Verify cabling connections.
●Manually configure the link setting on the print server to match the port configuration of the network hub or switch. For manual configuration methods, see Link Configuration Methods on page 18. Turn the printer/MFP off, then on again, to
●Print an HP Jetdirect configuration page and verify link settings on the print server.
