Enhancing the Video Function

Wide-screen monitors like the HP f2105 have a tendency to stretch the picture when the monitor is set at Fill to Screen mode. You can use the Custom Scaling feature described below to change the monitor display mode to a One to One or a Fill to Aspect Ratio mode which removes the stretching effect.

The monitor includes a custom scaling feature that allows you to enhance the video performance by adjusting the viewable image to an optimal display. You can choose a One to One display, a Fill to Screen display, or a Fill to Aspect Ratio display. The Custom Scaling feature enhances video performance by changing the screen’s aspect ratio (the ratio of the picture’s width to its height) to display 4:3 (standard broadcast) and 16:9 (wide-screen) formats.

To use the Custom Scaling feature:

1.Press the Menu button on the front panel of the monitor to launch the On Screen Display (OSD) Main Menu.

2.Select Advanced Menu.

3.Select Image Control from the OSD Advanced Menu. When the Image Control menu opens, use the + and buttons to scroll down and then select Custom Scaling.
