3.On the bottom side of the base, carefully slide a slotted screwdriver into the opening 1, as shown in the following illustration. Push the screwdriver towards the top of the monitor, slide the base 2 slightly back, towards the bottom of the monitor, to unlock it. Pull the base completely away from the pedestal with a firm grip.

4.Fold the pedestal hinge in the shipping position to the back of the monitor. Remove only the base, not the hinge, when shipping.
