4 Installing the Linux drivers

This chapter describes how to install the Linux qla2300 device drivers for the FC1142SR HBA and FC1242SR DC HBA on an installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system or on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SUSE SLES) system.

You can obtain the software kit for the driver from the following HP web site http://h18006.www1.hp.com/storage/saninfrastructure.html.

To install the drivers, you must be familiar with the operating system on which the HBA is to operate, and have access to standard system documentation. Use the procedures and information in the following sections:
