Running Fast!UTIL

You configure the HBAs using Fast!UTIL, HP’s BIOS-resident configuration tool. To run Fast!UTIL:

1.Press ALT+Q during HBA BIOS initialization (it may take a few seconds for the Fast!UTIL Options menu to display).

2.If you have more than one HBA, Fast!UTIL asks you to select the HBA you want to configure.

3.Change the settings and exit the utility. Fast!UTIL reboots the system to load the new parameters.

Configuration Settings

Use Configuration Settings to configure the Fibre Channel devices and the HBA to which they connect.

Adapter Settings

From the Configuration Settings menu in Fast!UTIL, select Adapter Settings. Table 5 lists the default settings for the HBA.
