oDO NOT turn the control knob past the gas mark 1 position, otherwise the burner may go out.

oIf the gas oven does not light within 15 seconds, then release the control knob. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST TURN THE

CONTROL KNOB BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION; OTHERWISE GAS WILL CONTINUE TO BE RELEASED.

oWait for 1 minute, before repeating the ignition procedure again.

When lighting the oven for the first time, it may take several times until the automatic ignition operates. This is due to there being air in the gas pipe.

oTo switch the gas oven off, turn the control knob fully anti-

clockwise to the gas off position (the symbol is the off position).

oIn case of power failure, the burners can be lit by carefully using a match.

Switching the gas grill on

The grill has automatic ignition, to light the grill you should do the following:-

oOpen the door of the oven and fit the grill deflector to the front of the appliance.

oPush the main oven control knob down fully and then turn it anticlockwise to the grill symbol

o If you keep the control knob

depressed, the automatic ignition for the burner will operate.

oThe gas grill should light within 15 seconds.

oOnce the burner has lit, continue to keep the control knob and ignition button held down for a further 10 seconds. Otherwise the safety cut off will operate and block the flow of gas.
