Programming COOL SAVE target temperature:

NOTE: If this is not the first time set- up, place your thermostat into COOL mode. If the display is showing the word HEAT, press the COOL button to change to COOL mode. The LCD will display the word COOL.

10.With the word COOL displayed on the LCD, press and release the SAVE

ENERGY button. TARGET TEMP and SAVE will appear in the display.

11.The default COOL SAVE ENERGY target temperature is 80º F. To accept the default temperature wait 5 seconds and the unit will exit target temperature programming mode. If the default setting is not desired, press either the temperature up button (+ symbol) or temperature down button (- symbol) until the desired target temperature is reached. Wait 5 seconds and the unit will exit target temperature programming mode and remain in COOL SAVE mode and display the actual ROOM TEMP.

NOTE: Your Wayne-Dalton thermostat is designed to maintain your target temperature within 1 degree.

In HEAT mode, if the temperature falls more than

1 degree below the target temperature, your HVAC system will turn on and then shut off when the temperature rises above the target by 1 degree.

In COOL mode, if the temperature rises more than 1 degree above the target temperature, your HVAC system will turn on and then shut off when the temperature falls below the target by 1 degree.
