Setting Convection Bake
The CONVECTION BAKE _ pad controlsthe Convection Bake feature.

Use the Convection Bake feature when cooking speed is desired. The oven can
be programmed for Convection baking at any temperature between 170°F (77°
C) to 550 ° F (288 ° C).
Convectionbaking uses afan to circulate the oven's heat evenly and continuously
withinthe oven (See Figure1). This improvedheat distributionallowsfor fast, even
cookingand browningresults.It also gives better bakingresultswhen using2 or 3
racksat the same time. Breads and pastries brownmore evenly. Convection bake
cooks mostfoods faster, at lowertemperature and more evenly thanconventional
bake. This oven is equipped with multiple fan speeds foreven cooking when
bakingend bettertastingmeats whenroasting. It willuse aslower fanspeed for
baking. The slow fan speed slowlyand evenly moves the air through the cavity
and produce lighterflakiercrusts for pies and evenly brown cookies.
General Convection Bake Instructions
1. Time reductions will vary depending on the amount and type of food to be
cooked. Cookies and biscuitsshould be baked on pans with no sides or
very low sides to allow heated airto circulate around the food. Food baked
on pans with a dark finish will cook faster.
2. Preheating isnot necessary when cooking casseroles with Convection
Bake.
3. When using Convection Bake witha single rack, place oven rack in position
2 or 3. Ifcooking on multiple racks, place the oven racks in positions 2 and

INSTRUCTIONS PRESS DISPLAY
To set the oven for Convection Bake andtemperature to 375°F
1. Arrange interior oven racks and place food in oven.
2. Press _"_. "CONV BAKE" will flash and "350" willappear in
thedisplay (Figure 3). If a Conv Bake of 350°F is needed,
press (3:),
3. Press Q Q Q. "CONV BAKE" will keep flashing and
"375°'' will appear in the display (Figure 4).
4. Press _."CONV BAKE" willstop flashing and the fan
iconwill appear inthe display (Figure 5).
Note: The convection fan will start AS SOON AS the oven is set for
Convection Bake. The display will show an icon of rotating fan
within a square. This rotating fan icon indicates when the
Convection Fan isoperating. The Bake, Broil and Convection
elements will cycle for a better heat distribution.
Press _ to stop Convection Bake or cancel Convection Bake at
any time. ®
