Scratches or abrasion on

Coarse particules such as salt and sand between cooktop and utensils can cause
scratches. Be sure cooktop surface and bottoms ofutensils are clean before usage. Small
scratches do not affect cooking and will become less visible with time.
Cleaning materials not recommended for ceramic-glass cooktop have been used. See

Cookware with rough bottom has been used. Use smooth, flat-bottomed cookware.
Metalmarks. Sliding or scraping of metal utensils on cooktop surface. Do notslide metal utensils on
cooktop surface. Use aceramic-glass cooktop cleaning cream to remove the marks. See
"Ceramic Glass Cooktop Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
Brown streaks or specks. Boiloversare cooked onto surface. Use razor scraper to remove soil. See "Ceramic Glass
Cooktop Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
Areas of discoloration Mineral deposits from water and food. Remove usinga ceramic-glass cooktop cleaning
with metallic sheen, cream. Usecookware withclean, drybottoms.
Poor baking results. Many factors affect bakingresults. Make sure the proper rackposition isused. Center food
inthe ovenand space pans toallow airto circulate. Allow theoven to preheat to the set
temperature before placing food in the oven. Try adjusting the recipe recommended
temperature orbaking time. Ifyou feel the oven istoo hot or cool, see "Adjusting Oven
Temperature" section.
