Select Speaker and then select the desired option using the Navigation (√,®,π,†) buttons to navigate through the

menus/screens and press the ENTER button to select (see page 17 for details).

Select the desired downmix:

LT/RT: Choose this setting if the original movie on the disc was recorded in the Pro Logic Dolby Digital format. STEREO: Choose this setti ng when playing DVD’s; two channels of signals will be output from the left and right soundtrack. When playi ng CD’s, a stereo signal will be output to the speakers.

VSS: Choose this setting when a disc recorded with 5.1- channel sound format is playing; this will produce a virtual surround sound effect from the main soundtrack through the speakers.

Off : Downmix Off.

It is assumed that the distance from the listener to each of the speakers is equal. If not, then set the delay times of the rea r sp eake rs so that the soun d wi ll be heard simultaneously by the listener. Use the slider to set the Rear Delay.

NOTE ON USING THE SPEAKERS: When listening to a normal two channel stereo broadcast, sound will only come from the front two speakers. When listening to a dolby 5.1 audio format, all speakers will output.
