Exhaust restrictors are recommended for these verti- cally terminated products which have excessive draft. Exhaust restrictors will compensate for high draft, and restore visual flame height. If the vent configuration has a total vertical of 15-60 feet, an exhaust restrictor may be needed. The exhaust restrictor can be located in the appliance manual bag.

Exhaust restrictor Instructions

1.Remove refractory panel and exhaust baffle from pilot side of appliance. Use a 1/4 inch nut driver and remove the two screws that secure it in place. To remove the exhaust baffle, remove the three screws securing the refractory panel in place. See Figure 7.8.

To access the exhaust opening, remove the refractory panel and exhaust baffle. To remove refractory panel, remove the two screws on top. To remove the exhaust baffle, remove the three screws securing it.
