Use a Center Needle 3-thread Overlock as a seam finish on light weight woven fabrics.

Wrap the fabric edge with strips of bias cut tricot or water soluble stabilizer before serging for added support while stitching.

Serger Library – Tips and Tricks

Thread the serger for a 3-thread Overlock stitch using the Center Needle.

Turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “A” on the Stitch Display Panel.

Serge finish one 5” raw edge on each piece of fabric.

Using your BERNINA sewing machine and a standard 5/8” seam allowance, seam the two pieces of fabric together along the serged edges.

Press the seam open.

Trim and mount the sample.
