5mm COVER STITCH TOP AND BOTTOM

FABRIC:

Medium weight woven cotton 5” X 6”

NEEDLES:

90/14 universal

THREAD:

2 cones of serger thread (Needles)

 

2 spool of Jeans Stitch(Looper and wiper)

PRESSER FOOT:

Standard

 

 

Instruction Manual pg.___

Convert the serger from Overlock to Cover Stitch using the directions on page__ in the Instruction Manual or on the Quick Reference Card.

Insert the Left and Right Needles.

Turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “H”.

Attach the Fifth Spool Holder.

Following the instructions on page ___ of your Instruction Manual, thread the

serger for a 3-thread Cover Stitch with Jeans Stitchin the Looper.

Push the Wiper Activating Lever towards the Needle Bar.

Lower the Wiper.

Thread the Wiper using Jeans Stitch

Fold the fabric in half to 2½” X 6” and center the fabric under the Presser Foot.

Cover Stitch the length of the fabric. Stop stitching with the Needles in the fabric.

Turn the Handwheel away from you to raise the Needles to their highest position.

Lift the Presser Foot and remove the fabric from under the Presser Foot.

Trim and mount the sample.

Remove the thread from the Wiper Spool Pin.

Disengage the Wiper and pull the Wiper Activating Lever away from the Needle Bar to return the serger to 3-thread Cover Stitch.
