NARROW 2.5mm COVER STITCH

ATTACHING LACE

FABRIC:

Medium weight woven cotton 3” X 6”

 

8” of 1” wide edging lace

NEEDLES:

80/12 Universal

THREAD:

3 cones of serger thread

PRESSER FOOT:

Cover Stitch

Instruction Manual pg.___

Feet-ures Unit ___pg.___

Convert the serger from Overlock to Cover Stitch using the directions on page__ in the Instruction Manual or on the Quick Reference card. Insert the Center and Right Needles and turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “F”.

Following the instructions on page ___ of your Instruction Manual, thread the serger for a 3-Thread narrow (2.5mm) Cover Stitch.

Use a Fabric Stiffener or Spray Starch to stabilize the fabric and lace.

Position the lace on the right side of the fabric with the scalloped edge of the lace even with the right edge of the fabric.

Place fabric and lace under the Needles with the lace header positioned even with the inside edge of the Left Floating Toe.

Cover Stitch the lace to the fabric stopping with the Needles in the fabric.

Turn the Handwheel away form you to raise the Needles to their highest position.

Lift the Presser Foot and remove the fabric from under the Presser Foot.

Trim the fabric from beneath the lace and mount the sample.
