ENERGY SAVER™ Dry System

Select this option to dry dishes without heat. ENERGY SAVER™ Dry System is useful if you do dishes at night and unload in the morning.

The dishes take longer to dry, and some spotting can occur. For best drying, always use a liquid rinse aid. Some items (such as plastics) may need towel drying.

NOTE: Rinse Only automatically uses this option. ENERGY SAVER™ Dry System is an option with all other cycles.

Control Lock

Use Control Lock to prevent unintended use of the dishwasher. You can also use the control lock feature to prevent unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle.

When Control Lock is lit, all buttons are disabled.

NOTES:

The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls are locked.

You can turn on the Lock while the dishwasher is running.

To turn on the Lock

Press and hold

for 4 seconds. Control Lock glows.

If you press any pad while your dishwasher control is locked, the light flashes 3 times.

To turn off the Lock

Press and hold ENERGY SAVER™ Dry control for 4 seconds. The light turns off.

Delay Hours

Select this option to run your dishwasher at a later time or during off-peak hours. You can add items to the load anytime during the delay countdown. After adding items, close the door firmly until it latches. The delay countdown will not continue if the door is not latched.

You can delay the start of a cycle up to 24 hours.

The first time you select Delay Hours, you will see

showing a 1-hour delay.

To delay the start

1.Close the door.

2.Select a wash cycle and options.

3.Repeatedly press

until you see the desired hours of delay in the display.

When the delay reaches 24 hours, the delay turns off. Press Delay Hours again to select a new number of delay hours.

NOTE: The delay is set at one-hour increments for the first 12 hours. The remaining delay hours are set at two-hour increments.

4.Press Start.

NOTE: To cancel the delay, press Delay Hours until no delay hours show in the display or press Start.

IMPORTANT:

Operate your dishwasher only when you are at home.

If your home is equipped with a water softener, do not start the dishwasher during the regeneration of the softener.

Status Indicators

Follow the progress of your dishwasher with the Cycle Status indicators.

Add Rinse Aid

Fill the Rinse Aid dispenser when Add Rinse Aid is lit. A rinse aid prevents water from forming droplets that can dry as spots or streaks.

If the Rinse Aid dispenser is empty, the light glows when you select a cycle or while a cycle is running.

Sensing/Soak

Your dishwasher senses the soil level on the dishes. Soil level determines the length of some cycles, the amount of heat or water added, and the cycle needed for the load. Soaks help loosen soils on the dishes.

Sensing/Soak glows during the sensing and soak parts of the cycle. Wash action continues while sensing occurs. Wash action pauses during a soak.

Add a Dish

After a cycle starts, you can add an item to your dishwasher while Add a Dish glows. After the light turns off, items added to the dishwasher may not be completely cleaned.

Water Heating

Water Heating glows, and the cycle progression pauses, whenever water is heated to a set temperature during a cycle.

Wash or rinse action continues as the water heats.
