Care and Cleaning of the Oven

WARNING: BEFORE CLEANING, SWITCH THE COOKER OFF AT THE MAINS COOKER CONTROL PANEL AND ALLOW IT TO COOL. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE OVENS ARE CLEANED AND KEPT FREE FROM FATS, OIL AND GREASE.

Cleaning of the Ceramic Hob

Always clean spills immediately. If the hob is reused before cleaning, spillage will be baked on and be very difficult to remove.

Always switch the cooker OFF at the cooker control panel.

To minimise cleaning:

Always take care and avoid spills.

Always use a Ceramic Hob Cleaner-Conditioner whenever cleaning is done. The Cleaner-Conditioner forms a protective film on the hob and contains a mild detergent which makes cleaning easier. Hotpoint has a Cleaner-Conditioner which can be obtained, either through a local Hotpoint Service Centre or retailer, part no.6004.

To clean off stubborn stains, the following can be used when the surface has cooled:

1.Cif, non-scratch cream cleaner.

2.Heavy soil can be removed from the surface by carefully using a glass scraper.

3.Hard water stains, grease spots and any discolouration having a metallic sheen can be removed with Solvol Autosol Super or any non abrasive stainless steel cleaner.

After cleaning, always use the Cleaner-Conditioner and finish it off by polishing with a clean, dry paper towel.

Never use abrasive or chemical oven cleaners as they can damage the surface of the hob.

The visual effect of any scratches which may occur in use can be minimised by the use of Cleaner-Conditioner. Such scratches cannot be removed but do not affect the function of the hob in any way.

One of the standout characteristics of Hotpoint double oven cookers is their dual cooking capability. The main oven typically offers a larger capacity, allowing you to cook multiple dishes simultaneously. Meanwhile, the second oven is ideal for smaller meals or side dishes, which can help streamline the cooking process during family gatherings or dinner parties. This feature not only saves valuable time but also enhances meal preparation by allowing users to maximize their cooking potential.

Hotpoint cookers are equipped with various cooking functions, including conventional, fan-assisted, and grill settings. The fan-assisted mode circulates hot air evenly around the oven, ensuring that dishes cook uniformly, while the grill function is perfect for browning and crisping dishes. Many models also include specific functions for baking, roasting, and defrosting, which provide versatility for all culinary needs.

Another key technology found in Hotpoint double oven cookers is the use of energy-efficient solutions. With high energy ratings, these cookers help reduce electricity consumption while still delivering powerful performance. Additionally, many models incorporate features like the self-cleaning function, which saves time and effort by using high temperatures to burn off food residue.

The design and aesthetics of Hotpoint double oven cookers also contribute to their appeal. Available in a range of stylish finishes, including stainless steel, black, and white, they can seamlessly blend into any kitchen décor. The simple yet functional control panels ensure ease of use, while the large viewing windows allow users to monitor their dishes without opening the door.

Safety features are also a priority with Hotpoint cookers. Many models include a child lock function, ensuring that little hands can’t accidentally adjust settings. The cool-touch doors help protect against burns while cooking, making them a safe choice for households with children.

In summary, Hotpoint double oven cookers deliver a blend of practicality, efficiency, and style. With their dual cooking capability, varied cooking functions, energy-efficient technologies, and thoughtful safety features, they prove to be a reliable choice for anyone looking to elevate their cooking experience.
