INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully before using it for the first time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
General
•Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage to the appliance.
•Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
•For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
•For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
•The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid. Make sure that no liquid gets into the appliance.
•Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
•Keep the appliance under constant supervision while in use. Keep an eye on children.
•The appliance should be regularly emptied of
remnants of waffle mix, as these could cause a fire.
•Use only accessories supplied with the appliance or those recommended by the manufacturer.
Use
•Always place the appliance on a dry, level, firm and heat resistant surface well away from any edges.
•Always place the appliance at a safe distance from
flammable objects such as curtains, tablecloths or similar.
•The appliance must not be placed or stored near other sources of heat.
•Do not cover.
•The inside and outside surfaces get very hot during use. Do not touch the hot surfaces due to the danger of burns. Only touch the handles.
•Never use any metal utensil to remove the baked waffles from the appliance as they could scratch the
•Please note that the appliance will remain hot for a while after you switch it off. Always allow it to cool completely before you put it away or clean it.
Cord and plug
•Do not let the cord hang out over the edge of the work surface.
•Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.
•Keep the cord and apparatus away from heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.
•Turn off and unplug the appliance as soon as you have finished using it, before cleaning it or if the appliance is not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
•Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
•The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.
•Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
•If the appliance, cord or plug have been damaged, have them inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repair engineer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
•Remove all packaging and transport materials from the inside and outside of the appliance.
•Wipe the inside and outside surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth and let appliance dry.
•Completely unwind the cord.
USE
1.Insert the plug (6) in the mains socket and switch on the power.
2.Open the lid (2) and add a little grease to the hot plate on the base part (8). Close the lid again.
