Using Your Blender (cont.) Press the PULSE/ICE CRUSH button briefly to cycle the blender on and off until desired consistency is reached.

The SMOOTHIE program PULSES to crush ice, switches to LOW to mix, and then ramps to HIGH for smoothness.

SMOOTHIE

This blender has a unique

45-second “Smoothie” cycle. It will first pulse 5 times on a high speed, in order to mix ingredients. After the initial bursts of speed, the blender will move to a low speed, then ramp up over time to a higher speed.

At the end of the 45-second Smoothie cycle, the blender will stop on its own.

CAUTION: When blending hot liquids, open vent opening of lid, and close any lid openings intended for pouring. If using the lid, ensure the hinged cap is securely in place. Hot liquids may push lid off jar during blending. To prevent possible burns: Do not fill blender jar beyond the 3-cup (750-ml) level. With the protection of an oven mitt or thick towel, place one hand on top

of lid. Keep exposed skin away from lid. Start blending at lowest speed.

Push STOP button when finished blending. The ON/OFF (I/O) button will continue to blink after the blender has stopped and will stay in the standby (power ready) mode until the ON/OFF (I/O) button is pushed again or the unit is unplugged.
