Auto search function

The set is equipped with a function for searching for the registration number if you do not know the preset code (a 4-digit number) when setting the preset memory.

Before operating

For TV, DBS or CABLE components, turn on the

component’s power. For CD, MD, TAPE, DVD,

 

VCR and VDP component’s, turn on the

 

component’s power and load a disc or tape.

Press the power ON/SOURCE button and the

OFF button simultaneously.

 

• “SET UP” appears on the remote control

 

unit’s display.

Use the D and H cursor buttons to display the

mode of the component to be searched for on

 

the remote control unit’s display, then press the

 

ENTER button.

 

• The registration codes are transmitted in

The channel switches on the TV, DBS or CABLE

 

device and playback stops on a CD, MD, tape,

 

DVD, VCR or VDP player.

Press the ENTER button.

 

“COMPLETE” is displayed on the

SHIFT

 

remote control unit’s display and the

selected code is preset.

If you press the power OFF button late at step 6, press the D and H cursor button once to move to the next code or back to the previous code one step at a time.

Auto search resumes when you move ahead from the code at which you stopped.

Set the power operation switch to this

position to turn the power on and off from the

included remote control unit (RC-884).

£OFF

The power turns off and “ON/STANDBY”

indicator is off.

In this position, the power cannot be turned

on and off from the remote control unit (RC-

884).
