The two 3,5x9,5 screws T are supplied in the accessory kit. (See Fig.7).
The spacer is reversible to cover a gap of 1 - 4 cm.
Using the hood
—The hood is provided with several speeds. For the best performance, we recommend using the low speeds in normal conditions and the high speeds in particular cases of strong odour and vapour concentration.
—It is advisable to switch on the extractor hood a few minutes before starting cooking and then to leave it running for approximately 15 minutes afterwards to ensure that all odours are extracted.
Attention!
—If the hood is run at the same time as a burner or fireplace that depend on ambient air (for example gas, Diesel, coal or wood heaters, water heaters, etc.) be careful, because the hood, when it exhausts the air, removes the ambient air required by the burner or fireplace for combustion.
—For secure operation and to prevent discharged gas from coming back in, the vacuum must not exceed 0,04 mbr.
This may be done by making sure the air inlet into the room passes through non- closing openings such as air recycling wall boxes, doors, windows or with other technical measures.
—Please, keep to the provisions of official directives regarding the question of fume discharge.
—No food must be cooked flambé underneath the hood.
The use of an unprotected flame is dangerous for the filters and could cause fires. Therefore, never use an open flame under the hood. When frying foods, never leave the pan alone because the cooking oil could flare up.
—The hood cannot be connected to flues of other appliances that run on energy sources other than electricity.
—The manufacturers refuse to accept any responsibility for damage to the hood or its catching on fire because of failure to observe the above instructions.
Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance operation, disconnect the hood from the electricity.
Grease filter
The grease filter traps suspended grease particles.
It is installed in the suction grid and is avail- able in four different versions:
The synthetic filter (about
It should be washed in warm water and biodegradable detergent.
Let it dry without wringing.
The thin synthetic filter (about 1 mm thick) should be changed when the top colouring appears at the bottom.
The thin synthetic filter (about 1 mm thick) without saturation indicator should be replaced after every two months of normal use.
The life of the metal filter is practically unlimited and should be washed in the same way as the synthetic filter once a month and allowed to dry before being refitted.
To remove filter M, open the grid, open tabs L and pull out the filter (Fig.5).
When cleaning the grease filter, wash the grid too with warm water and biodegradable detergent.
Carbon filter
This filter dissipates cooking odours.
It should be changed after every 4 months of normal use.
Ask the technical assistance service or manufacturing company for a new one. The carbon filter should never be washed. To remove the filter, turn it anticlockwise until it becomes unhooked and free.
Cleaning
To clean the outside of the hood use a cloth moistened with denatured alcohol or neutral liquid detergents.
Never use products containing abrasive.
