SLOW COOK/SIMMER

Use SLOW COOK/SIMMER as you would a slow cooker to enhance flavor and tenderize less expensive cuts of meat. If you find that food needs a longer cooking time than the setting allows, you may extend future cooking times. To extend cooking time, touch SLOW COOK/ SIMMER followed by MORE (Number 9) Pad and START.The LESS(Number11 Pad cannot be used in this cycle.

KEEPWARM will automatically follow the cooking time in SLOW COOK/SIMMER. (See “Using KEEPWARM” on page 23.) Combined cooking time and KEEPWARM will equal 11hours, 59 minutes unless cancelled any time after cooking is done

1.Put food in the oven and close the door.

2.Touch SLOW COOK/SIMMER.

3.Touch MORE (9) if you wish to extend the cooking time.

4.Touch START.

The AUTO SENSOR Indicator Light will come on and the Display will show “SL-C”.

The Display will not change.

The oven will automatically cook and simmer at different preset Cook Powers. The AUTO SENSOR Indicator Light will stay on to show that the oven is cooking the food. Do not open the oven door during this part of the cycle.

When you hear 2 beeps, the AUTO SENSOR Indicator Light will go off. This tells you the door can be opened to stir or turn food, or add ingredients.

When the food is done, you will hear 4 beeps and the oven will automatically go into KEEPWARM for the remainder of the 11hours, 59 minutes total time. The KEEPWARM Indicator Light will come on and SL-C will continue to be displayed. Food is ready to serve anytime after KEEPWARM Indicator Light is on.
