Properreplacementof the solid statecontrolis essentialfor properperformance.Beforeinstalling the control,besureto cleanoff all of theold thermalcompoundleft behindfrom the old control. Always usenewtherrnalcompoundwhenreplacingthesolidstatecontrol.Useof'thespecialoil basedthermal compound(silicone)is an importantandmandatorystepthat allows for properheattransferfrom the controlto the metalplateorl which it is mounted. The.thermalcompoundis to be appliedto the underside(metalside)of the controlasa thin film approximately.001inch (0A254cm). Toomuch compoundwill deterratherthanhelp to transferawaythe heatgeneratedby the control'sthyristor. Purchasethe compoundunderTM PartNumber3103116.

For wiring referenceto the control, seeFigure1below.

Thebaseplatemountingscrewsshouldbetightenedto .15inch poundsfor exactcontactto the surface. The load terminalsshouldbe torquedto 10 inch lbs whe:rsecuringthe terminal connectionsof the wires.
