To prevent staining or discoloration of cooktop:

Clean cooktopafter each use.

Wipe acid or sugar stains as soon as they occur as these stains may discolor or etch the porcelain.

To raise the cooktop:

1. When cool, graspthe front edge of the cooktop.

2. Gentlylift up until the two support rods, at the front of the cooktop,snap into place.
