TROUBLE SHOOTING

Problem

Cause

Engine overheats

Clogged air intake or cooling fins

 

Engine overloaded

 

• Poor ventilation around engine

 

• Defective engine speed regulator

 

• Too little or no oil in the engine

 

• Contamination in the carburetor or fuel line.

 

Fouled spark plugs

Battery not charging

Poor contact of the battery terminal cable connections

 

• Charging lead is disconnected

The machine moves slowly, unevenly, or not at all

Parking brake on

 

• Bypass valve on pump open

 

• Drive belt for the transmission slack or
