Carry bales as low to the ground as possible to allow maximum visibility and avoid tipping.

8.3 Shutting Down the Implement

Park the tractor on a level surface, place the transmission in park or neutral and apply the parking brake, lower the attached implement to the ground, shut down the engine, remove the key, and wait for all motion to come to a complete stop before exiting the tractor. OPS-L- 0014

9. Loader Storage

Never allow children to play on or around Tractor or Implement. Children can slip or fall off the Equipment and be injured or killed. Inadvertent contact with controls can cause the Implement to shift or fall crushing themselves or others.

Properly preparing and storing the loader at the end of the season is critical to maintaining its appearance and to help ensure years of dependable service. The following are suggested storage procedures:

• Thoroughly clean all debris off the loader to

 

prevent damage from rotting grass and

 

standing water.

 

• Lubricate all grease points detailed in the

 

maintenance section.

 

• Tighten all bolts and pins to the recommended

 

torque.

 

• Check worn and damaged parts. Perform

 

repairs and make replacements immediately so

 

that the loader will be ready for use at the start

 

of the next season.

 

• Store the loader in a clean, dry place resting

 

securely on parking stands at ground level.

• Use spray touch-up enamel where necessary

to prevent rust and maintain the appearance of
