Inserting Batteries
Lightly press down on the arrow and slide the battery cover open.
Insert two AAA alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity.
Close the battery cover completely. Replacing batteries

Press the STOP button to close the menu.

Slide the card cover lock to the direction indicated by the arrow.
Face the card the correct way and insert it into the card slot as shown in the illustration.
Close the card cover securely. Card inserted fully into the slot

Press the FOLDER button to choose a folder.
Press the REC button to start recording.
Press the STOP button to stop recording.

Using the Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA)
Press the REC button to start recording.
Adjust the start/stop actuation level
Press the FF or REW button to adjust the pause sound level during recording.
