SONGTRANSFER FILES FROM COMPUTER TO KODTransferFilesPlugHard Drive To ComputerManuallyUpdating Database
1)Ripandconvertthesonginto.mpgformat.(CustomerneedstohaveaCDdrive thatis
ableto read CDG along with ripping/coverting programs. You can find the CD drive model
andripping/converting programs online but most Plexor drive can read CDG.)
2)Makesure the computer and KOD player are off.
3)Takeouttheharddrivefromtheplayerandplugitinyourcomputer.
4)Turnon the computer and go into the newly install hard drive.
5)Insertthesongintodesirefolder.Example(forthesongnameHero,Iwouldputitin
English\GHIpath)
6)Goback to the main directory and open the file SONGLIST.TXT with notepad.
7)Scrolldown to the bottom of the file and choosea6digitnumberforyoursong.(makesure
thenumber you choose isn't already used)
8)Typein the “number” + “=” + “song path” + “song name” + “.MPG”. saveand exit
Example.“502031=\English\GHI\Hero.MPG”
9)Goback to the main directory and open the file MAINMENU.TXT with notepad.
10)Scrolldown the file to the directory path where you put your song and add in the “song
number”+ “=”. save and exit.

11)Goback to the main directory path and open the file MENU(1).TXT with notepad.
12)TypeintheArtistnameunderthecorrectpath.Forexample,forthesongHerobyMariah
Carey,I would put it under Artist Female\M,N,O. “\Artist Female\M,N,O
MariahCarey”
13)Afterinputting the artist name, type in the song path and song number under all the Artist
name.Save and exit.
