SMTP settings

The Email option in the Network menu accesses the following settings:

SMTP Server

Defines the SMTP server by its DNS name.

 

NOTE:This definition is required only when the SMTP Server option

 

(see Email Recipients) is set to Local.

 

 

From Address

Defines the contents of the From field in the e-mail messages sent

 

by the Management Card.

 

NOTE:The SMTP server’s configuration may require that you use a

 

valid user account on the server for this setting. See the

 

server’s documentation for more information.

 

 

Email Recipients

Web interface. The Recipients option in the Events menu or the Configure the Email recipients link in the “Email Configuration” page accesses the settings you use to identify up to four e-mail recipients. Use the Email Test option to send a test message to a configured recipient.
